2 ways Overland: Jerusalem 27 JAN 1931 to Baghdad arrival 31 JAN 31, the addressee was not found and declared "UNKNOWN", a search was conducted w/2 attempts: 3 Feb. 31 & 9  Feb. 31, then the letter was transferred to the "D.L.O." (Dead Letter Office) on

10 Feb. 31. After 26 days it was "Returned to Sender"

w/ "D.L.O." pmk of 18 Mar. 31, arriving in Jerus on

22 Mar. 31, franked 13m (2x3m + 1x7m) Mandate Pictorials. This is the only recorded cv from Palestine to have been carried by Overland Mail in both directions; f - vf
