LATE PALESTINE OUTGOING MAIL: 23 AP 48 Tel-Aviv to N. York Palestine air letter - N. York arrival pmk 22 MAY 48. As Lydda airport was closed after 22 AP for outgoing mail it was sent surface with the last shipment from British Palestine by the S/S Kedma leaving Haifa on 6 MAY 48. Message in Hebrew by A. Ashman to his daughter, he was a famous writer, some of his plays were performed by "Ha'Bimah" theatre and he mentions the famous play "This Earth". He also tells her the good news about the liberation of Haifa, etc.; vert centerfold, f - vf & unusual
